STAY ALERT: Notice to Recreational Trail Users – Aerial Pest Animal Control Activities (1–5 June 2026)

Notice to Recreational Trail Users – Aerial Pest Animal Control Activities (1–5 June)

The Northern and Yorke Landscape Board will be undertaking aerial pest animal control operations in parts of the Clare Valley from 1–5 June as part of ongoing efforts to reduce the impacts of feral deer and other declared pest animals on the local environment, primary production, and public safety.

These control activities are part of a broader coordinated program being delivered in partnership with private landholders and public land managers to reduce deer numbers and limit their spread across the landscape.

During this period, recreational trail users may notice increased helicopter activity and hear rifle shots in and around sections of the Clare Valley. Signage will be in place where required, and every effort will be made to minimise disruption to trail access and visitor experience.

We ask all trail users to remain aware of their surroundings during this time and follow any temporary signage or direction.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as this important work is carried out to help protect the Clare Valley’s landscapes, agricultural assets, and recreational spaces.
