Various Loop Trails

SARTI have also developed or fostered many “Loop Trails” where you can take shorter walks or rides, of various lengths and difficulty, returning to your start location.

SARTI – Our Purpose

South Australian Recreation Trails Incorporated (SARTI) was formed to develop walking trails in South Australia.
The first project was to develop the Lavender Federation Trail (LFT) from Murray Bridge to Clare.

Current Projects

The story of SARTI building trails is an ongoing one. SARTI looks to improve and maintain it’s existing trails and to foster new ones with its expertise and encourage the use of our trails for the health and enjoyment of its followers and the communities our trails touch.

SARTI Board Members bring their personal and professional resources to the Board as volunteers. The Members come from right across South Australia, representing various organisations and skills to fulfil SARTI vision.

Our History

SARTI has a long history of building trails in South Australia, thanks to the great work and influence of Terry Lavender, the architect of one of Australia’s Iconic trails, the Heysen Trail.
