Lavender Federation Trail, TUNGKILLO LOOP TRAIL CLOSURE, From 29 June 26 to mid-2028

Due to the imminent start of construction of Tilt Renewables Palmer Wind Farm (40 turbines, 220m high) the South East leg of the Tungkillo Loop Trail will be de-marked and closed on 29 June 26 until the completion of construction in mid-2028.
The main Lavender Federation Trail between Mt Beevor and Springton will remain open during this period.
Walkers will be able to see the construction works from the trail but should be aware of the increase in construction and oversized vehicle traffic.

Due to the construction of a large Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) by Iberdrola Australia adjacent to the LFT and the ElectraNet Tungkillo substation, a section of the trail on Collins and Black Heath Roads South of the intersection with Brinkworth Range Rd and across farm land from Black Heath to Brinkworth Roads will be de-marked and closed from 22 June 2026 until the completion of construction in late-2028. An alternate route along Brinkworth Range and Brinkworth Roads will be marked for use during this period.
Walkers should be aware of the increase in construction and oversized vehicle traffic in the area during this period.
